Soukhamthath steps in for Caraway in Fresno

After a pair of razor-thin split decision losses, Andre “The Asian Sensation” Soukhamthath hopes to take the judges out of the equation On Dec. 9 when he battles Luke Sanders in a UFC Fight Night bout at Save Mart Center in Fresno.

Soukhamthath replaces Bryan Caraway, who was forced out of the bout due to injury.

The card, which is headlined by an explosive featherweight bout between Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega, airs live on FS1.

After parlaying a three-fight knockout streak into a call from the UFC, hard-hitting Rhode Island native Soukhamthath has fallen just short of victory in bouts against Albert Morales and Alejandro Perez, but he's expecting that the third time will be the charm against the always exciting Sanders, who owns wins over Terrion Ware and Maximo Blanco, the latter victory earning him Performance of the Night honors.
